Leading cruise reviews and information site, Cruise Critic, has named the AmaPrima as the world’s ‘Best New River Cruise Ship’ in its 2013 Editors’ Picks Awards.
Operated by APT and AmaWaterways, the AmaPrima first set sail on Europe’s rivers earlier this year.

Commenting on the accolade, Debra Fox, APT’s General Manager Marketing, said, “We are thrilled that the AmaPrima has received such an accolade. What makes it particularly important to us is that it has been voted on by Cruise Critic’s international team of editors, all of whom are experts when it 544948comes to cruising.”

According to Ms Fox, for APT, delivering an outstanding cruise experience alongside the highest levels of customer service is a top priority: “We are continually investing in our fleet to ensure we offer the most luxurious experience available on Europe’s waterways. In 2014 we will introduce two further ships, the AmaReina and the AmaSonata. But it’s not just the technology and features of the ship that make it excellent, it’s the service delivered by the staff and crew. This accolade reflects the hard work that our entire team put into delivering the very highest quality of customer experience on a daily basis.”

Host to the largest cruise community in the world, Cruise Critic said of the AmaPrima in its review, “On a ship that holds just 164 passengers, it’s amazing that AmaPrima features so many amenities otherwise associated with ocean-going vessels.”

One of APT’s Concerto river ships, the AmaPrima, is a deluxe 164-feet passenger vessel that incorporates such innovative design features as Twin Balconies (an APT and AmaWaterways exclusive) and spacious staterooms that measure up to 350 sq. feet. Guests on APT’s Royal Experience cruises also enjoy Chaîne des Rôtisseurs culinary creations with unlimited fine wine and beer, a choice of dining venues, a heated pool with swim-up bar, massage and beauty salon, fitness studio, and complimentary in-room Internet, Infotainment and Wi-Fi. The AmaPrima even carries a fleet of bicycles on board so guests can enjoy Europe’s picturesque riverside bike paths on their own.
