American Cruise Lines is pleased to announce that on Fat Tuesday(March 5th) with Mardi Gras in full swing, Queen of the Mississippi, its 150-passenger paddlewheeler will depart amidst annual festivities from Port New Orleans. American’s guests will be treated to a complimentary Mardi Gras-themed pre-cruise night on board before being serenely transported up-riveralong American’s fabulous 8-day Lower Mississippi itinerary, concluding in Memphis, Tennessee.

The night before departure, guests will enjoy a memorable evening aboard Queen of the Mississippi.Highlighted by the musical entertainment of Wendell Brunious & the New Orleans All-Stars, guests will delight in an evening of dancing and merriment. A Mardi Gras cocktail party will be hosted on board, including parlor games, venetian masks, and iconic dress-up flare. A sumptuous Big Easy-inspired dinner will follow with none other than New Orleans King Cakes for dessert. All American’s 2019 late February and early March Mississippi cruises have enjoyed this special Mardi Gras evening on board and the cruise departing on March 5th during Fat Tuesday’s parades is sure to be the most memorable of all.
