The second-annual Asia Meeting and Incentive Travel Exchange (AMITE) will host leading MICE buyers from long-haul markets on 1 July, 2015 at Grand Hyatt Singapore. AMITE is the leading one-to-one event bringing global meeting planners together with Asia-based suppliers.
Leveraging on last year’s success, AMITE 2015 will double the number of hand-picked high-volume buyers. The hosted buyer program will also expand from 6 days to 9 days to offer a full experience of Asia
In a first ever partnership with Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), the famed AMITE familiarizing trip will bring buyers to Chiang Mai and Bangkok for an experience led 5-day program featuring site inspections, corporate social responsibility activities and cultural experiences. Buyers will be pampered by oriental hospitality in the heart of Asia while being inspired by knowledgeable and creative TCEB professionals on their next MICE program.
“It is an honour to have TCEB as our country partner this year,” said Marilyn McHugh, Questex Travel Group vice president, global events. “Questex has experienced first-hand the great services Thailand offers and we are delighted to bring in leading MICE buyers to discover the MICE facilities, products and services in Thailand.”
After an Amazing Thailand trip, the buyers will proceed to Dynamic Singapore to access world-class content, network with top minds and have more fun.
The Singapore experience will be launched with a Business-in-Sight tour, followed by a welcome cocktail reception hosted by The Singapore Resort & Spa Sentosa, Managed by Accor, which will be re-branded as Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa by the end of 2015. Afterwards, the buyers
will get to experience Singapore’s integrated resort – Marina Bay Sands, one of the accommodation sponsors this year.
On July 1, AMITE will hold up to 880 One-to-One business meetings at the newly renovated Grand Hyatt Singapore. In the dramatically-designed and highly-flexible event space, buyers and suppliers will dedicate themselves in detailed discussion of upcoming MICE programs. Buyers will gain insights and inspirations from suppliers, who in turn will be awarded requests-for-proposals (RFPs) and businesses. Buyers and suppliers will further engage in the closing reception, also at the Grand Hyatt Singapore.
AMITE 2015 will be held in conjunction with the Fifth Annual Singapore MICE Forum (SMF), organised by SACEOS. Buyers at AMITE 2015 will be attending the opening SMF keynote address as special guests of SACEOS.
“AMITE is designed to provide the buyers with a platform to experience Asia so that they can be in the best position to advise clients on the myriad of event ideas to be organized in Asia,” said Janet Tan-Collis, SACEOS president and CEO of East West Planners. “It is gratifying to receive such overwhelming support from leading suppliers in Asia Pacific and this also being Singapore’s 50th birthday, one can expect to be immersed in unique experiences which will spark off great ideas for their businesses.”
Participation at AMITE 2015 is limited for both buyers and suppliers. For more information, visit questexevents.net/AMITE.
