Taking place at A.R Sutton Engineers Siam, distinguished guests of the Ferrari Owner’s Club Thailand were treated to an experiential showcase of rare talent and craftsmanship in celebration of the heritage and skill that define The Balvenie single malt Scotch whisky.

Alongside co-host ‘Max’ Chakrit Benedetti, Managing Director of Italasia, Matthew Fergusson-Stewart, Regional Brand Ambassador for Glenfiddich, opened up the evening of conviviality with a masterful initiation of the 5 rare crafts that make The Balvenie unique amongst single malts.

Throughout the evening, specially selected variants from The Balvenie collection were available for guests to savour including The Balvenie DoubleWood 12 Year Old: smooth and mellow with beautifully combined flavours of nutty sweetness, cinnamon spiciness and a delicately proportioned layer of sherry, Single Barrel 15 Year Old : a honeyed maltiness with vanilla, oak flavours and delicate spice notes, DoubleWood 17 Year Old: sweet with dried fruits, sherbet spice, toasted almonds and cinnamon, with richness of creamy toffee note, Portwood 21 Year Old: with remarkable character,  creamy and silky with fruit, honey and spice notes and The Balvenie Thirty: great depth with rich dark chocolate, hints of plum, marzipan and caramelised pear. Specially curated cuisine prepared by Ashley Sutton, owner of A.R. Sutton Engineers Siam, these complementary pairings brought out tasting notes unique to some of the finest and most iconic single malts within The Balvenie’s wide range.

Stewart noted that, “The reason that Ferrari, the Balvenie and A.R. Sutton Engineers Siam held this exclusive event together, is because all 3 brands represent the apex of craftmenship and therefore go together perfectly –  this event therefore represents a masterpiece of craftsmanship. The quality of The Balvenie single malt is attributable to the craftsmanship retained by the distillery. The Balvenie is the only one to incorporate all 5 rare crafts, resonating with the artisanal craftsmanship values that are highly regarded with Ferrari Owner’s Club.”

Gracing this exclusive session was POL.LT.COL. Apinace Phornphiboon, President of Ferrari Owner’s Club Thailand, who was present to discover and savour the taste of time-honoured skill and tireless dedication that is ever present at The Balvenie’s Dufftown distillery.
