Anastassiadis, Dingle, Eichhorn, McCarthy, Meier, Pojer and Vogel join list of speakers for Seatrade Europe

Chairman, CLIA Europe and Chief Executive Officer, Celestyal Cruises – has confirmed that he will lead the keynote session of the opening day of Seatrade Europe taking place in Hamburg this 6-8 September, with a focus on ‘Uniting the European cruise industry in preparing for a new dawn’. He will discuss his views on the significant role Europe’s integrated cruise community is playing and how it can continue to drive across multiple platforms, including as a source market, a destination, environmental stewardship, technology, shipbuilding and economic driver.

Anastassiadis will then be joined on stage by a strong panel of industry personalities that include: David Dingle, Chairman, Carnival UK; Felix Eichhorn, President, AIDA Cruises; Capt. Michael McCarthy, Chairman, Cruise Europe and Commercial Manager, Port of Cork Company; Wybcke Meier, Chief Executive Officer, TUI Cruises GmbH; Karl J. Pojer, Chief Executive Officer, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises and Chairman, CLIA Germany and Richard Vogel, President & CEO, Grupo Pullmantur for the opening ‘Future of the Cruise Industry in Europe’ session.

Europe continues to make waves in the growing cruise sector, ranked as number three globally as a source market with 2.02m passengers in 2016, according to a recent CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association) report*. The report also stated that 24.7m people cruised on the oceans in 2016, higher than the 24.2m initially projected.
