Effective 1 July 2018, Andreas Hagenbring will join the Management Board of AirPlus International, a leading global provider of settlement and analysis solutions for day-to-day business travel management. Hagenbring succeeds Roland Kern who will retire from AirPlus on 30 June 2018.
Andreas Hagenbring will be responsible for Finance, Global Services, and Risk and Regulations and will assume a seat on the Management Board alongside Spencer Hanlon and Chairman Patrick W. Diemer. “Over the past few years, Roland Kern has driven the development of AirPlus International to an efficient and innovative provider of financial services. Andreas Hagenbring is an experienced manager who will strengthen the Management Board of AirPlus International and continue this development consistently,” says Ulrik Svensson, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of AirPlus and Chief Financial Officer of Deutsche Lufthansa AG.
Hagenbring joined Lufthansa in 2008 and assumed the position of Head of Investor Relations of Lufthansa Group in 2012. He previously was employed at diverse companies in the finance industry and has contributed his expertise successfully to Lufthansa Group.
Kern will continue his career at Lufthansa Group. He has been appointed a member of the Management Board of Delvag Versicherungs-AG and will become Managing Director of Albatros Versicherungsdienste effective 1 July 2019. Kern will assume the position of Executive Vice President of Delvag Versicherungs-AG on 1 July 2018.
