On holiday or not, the Beautiful Country animates your weekends and evenings through a range of varied activities.

In July, discover the Creole language around a traditional appetizer on Thursday and participate in a photography course on Saturday. The Tourist Office Intercommunal North opens the doors of the Beautiful Country.

On Saturday, July 20, 2013, the Office de Tourisme Intercommunal North presents a photographic course from 8:30 am to 6 pm, on “Mixed and Creole houses.” This training will give you the keys to the best way to photograph a scene, a place, an atmosphere. Accompanied by an experienced guide, you will discover and immortalize the homes and places that make the history of Saint-Denis. The photographic internship program:

From 8.30 am to 12 pm

• Shoot in manual mode history and culture (learning to disengage your camera in manual mode)
• Stroll the historic streets of Paris with a guide to the Tourist Office
• Learning the photographic approach (framing, light, movement) of houses made of rue Juliette Plump

From 12-2 pm

• Learn to shoot a place: the setting of the restaurant Lev Gadiamb
• Aperitif/debrief the morning (drink and samosas)
• Lunch at the restaurant (main course, dessert)

From 2-5 pm

• Discovery of the Garden State through the lens
• Labor photographic approach and composition rules

From 5-6 pm

• A round of drinks, analysis and advice on the photos of the day

Materials needed: a camera with manual mode (a bridge or SLR is recommended).

Thursday, July 25, is the opportunity to participate in the workshop “Let Creole” at a restaurant from 6:15 pm to Le Gadiamb. After the description of old objects are exposed in the restaurant, you will learn the intricacies of the Creole language, through its expressions, proverbs, and riddles.

During the workshop, you will have the opportunity to taste the punch, local beer, fruit juice, or the samosas and plugs. A song at the Creole workshop will close at 7:45 pm in a friendly atmosphere.

Tips: Le Gadiamb the restaurant offers a 15% discount to those who remain for dinner after the workshop!
