Anticipating the ASEAN Economic Community 2015 Seminar: “Focus on Tourism”

Anticipating the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) 2015 and it’s implications on Tourism in the region, the Post Graduate Program of the Bandung Institute of Tourism (STPB) will  presenti a national seminar entitled : Anticipating the ASEAN Economic Community 2015: “Focus on Tourism”. The Seminar will be held at the Bandung Institute of Tourism (STPB), in Bandung on  Thursday, 14th November 2013.

The event will feature renowned speakers in the field of Indonesia’s tourism including Tourism Expert and former Minister of Culture and Tourism (2000-2004) Drs.I Gede Ardika who will highlight “The readiness of tourism’s stakeholders facing the AEC 2015”Drs. Noviendi Makalam,MA, the Head of the Communication Center of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, who will present “Policies of Indonesia’s tourism regarding the AEC 2015”, while Tono Rahardja, an Online Travel Agency practitioner providing insights on “Online Travel Agency as a new way to win the Competition”.

The seminar is intended to increase awareness of all tourism stakeholders of the forthcoming ASEAN Economic Community 2015.  The seminar also aims to identify  strengths weaknesses opportunities and threats, of Indonesia’s tourism products and services , so that an ideal formulation can be constructed to improve the tourism industry in facing the AEC.
