Award winning luxury travel operator APT has announced the appointment of Steve Reynolds to the role of Executive General Manager.
Heading up APT globally, Steve Reynolds is responsible for the overall financial performance and strategic direction of the brand.
Steve Reynolds recently joined APT from UK-based Back-Roads Touring where he achieved strong growth of the niche touring brand. Prior to that he had an extensive career in Australia with Tempo Holidays, which then became Cox and Kings, culminating in his appointment as Managing Director and CEO.
Commenting on his new role, Steve Reynolds said, “APT has been a brand that I have long admired. It has an exceptional reputation amongst both the travel trade and consumers as being Australia’s best luxury travel company. My main focus is to help to elevate the brand further, looking at commercial opportunities at home and on a global scale to help further accelerate APT’s market leading position.”
David Cox has been overseeing both the APT and Travelmarvel brands. Moving forward he will head up Travelmarvel as Executive General Manager, also with global responsibility.
Debra Fox will work alongside both Steve and David as Executive General Manager Global Sales and Marketing, as will David Courage in his role as Executive General Manager Global Operations, Innovation, and Procurement.
Commenting on the revised structure, APT Group Managing Director Chris Hall said, “We’re delighted to welcome Steve to the senior management team. He brings with him the skills needed to help facilitate further growth for the APT brand, both here in Australia, and also further afield. Together with the exceptional leadership support of Debra Fox and David Courage, we are excited about what Steve will deliver for the future of APT.
“David Cox will continue to lead Travelmarvel. He has made a significant contribution to the rapid growth of this value driven brand in Australia, New Zealand and the UK. When we were recruiting for the new senior leadership role it became evident that there was no-one better than David to continue to steer Travelmarvel towards future success,” Chris Hall said.
