Award-winning luxury cruise and tour operator APT has announced that guests travelling on its Vietnam land tours in 2015 and 2016 will have exclusive access to celebrity chef Luke Nguyen’s new GRAIN by Luke Nguyen cooking studio in Ho Chi Minh City.
The new cooking studio opened in March 2015 and promises to deliver an authentic Vietnamese cultural and culinary experience.
According to Luke Nguyen, as well as learning the fundamentals of Vietnamese food preparation, visitors to GRAIN will also learn about the culture and history behind each dish.
Classes will be hosted by Luke’s team, with the chef himself attending and running classes on a quarterly basis.
As part of APT’s Freedom of Choice™ touring options in Ho Chi Minh City, Luke is welcoming the company’s Australian guests to GRAIN as a new and exclusive addition to their itinerary. Guests will attend a two and half hour culinary class where they will learn some of the basic elements of Vietnamese cooking and recreate some of Luke’s favourite dishes.
As APT’s Asia Ambassador, Luke Nguyen is heavily involved in advising on some of the culinary elements of the company’s Vietnam program. For example a special degustation dinner complete with matching wines, which guests travelling on land journeys enjoy at Xu Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City, is inspired by Luke Nguyen. In addition, he has designed a special Vietnamese welcome dinner which is served to all guests who set sail on a luxury APT Mekong river cruise.
