The new Africa Safaris 2017 brochure is available now and features 14 hand crafted journeys. Destinations include South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana, Rwanda, Zambia and Namibia.

A new addition to the portfolio is the opportunity to stay at the Chobe Water Villas in Botswana, which offers stilted luxury accommodation with views across the river. Guests enjoy game viewing along the riverbank in small boats during the day. Evenings are spent dining in the elegant restaurant and sharing cocktails in the bar with new friends. Each villa also has its own balcony with 180 degree views of the riverbank for prime game spotting.

For guests who prefer to stay on the river itself, APT continues to offer exclusive access to its two and three night river cruises on the Chobe River aboard the 14-suite Zambezi Queen.

This cruise features on APT’s most popular journey, the 15 day African Journey with Zambezi Queen. Priced from $9,845* per person twin share it comprises a 12 night land journey and a two night Chobe River cruise. Highlights of this trip include APT Signature Experiences such as the chance to dine under the stars in the Kruger National Park at a traditional Boma dinner; a rail journey on the Royal Livingstone Express where guests enjoy dinner, drinks and views of the spectacular Victoria Falls; and the chance to see hippos, elephants, buffalo, lions and leopards congregating along the river banks as they sail aboard the Zambezi Queen.

As well as the new stilted water villas in Botswana, APT also offers guests the chance to stay at some of Africa’s finest private game reserves and tented camps. In 2017, featured properties include Ngala Safari Lodge or Kirkmans Kamp in South Africa’s Kruger National Park; the Four Seasons Safari Lodge in the Serengeti; and tented camps such as Karen Blixen Camp in the Masai Mara and Namibia’s Onguma Tented Camp near Etosha National Park.

Commenting on the new program, APT Executive General Manager Sales and Marketing Debra Fox, said, “We are delighted to share with our travel agents and guests this latest collection of African journeys. APT’s group sizes are limited to 28 guests in Africa. A long list of guaranteed inclusions feature across all journeys, including all flights within Africa, a local Tour Director, sightseeing, accommodation, most meals, and all tipping, airport transfers, game park fees and porterage.
