Award winning travel operator APT has launched a new brochure showcasing its land touring options in Europe.

The new APT Europe Land & Rail Journeys 2017 brochure is available in travel agents now.  It features a choice of three distinct travel styles: Luxury Land Journeys are fully escorted and cater to group sizes of no more than 40 guests; Grand Rail Journeys take in some of the most majestic routes on the continent; and Small Group Discoveries which cater to no more than 20 people.

Its introduction comes as a direct result of increased demand for APT’s luxury land touring and rail journeys, especially in combination with European river cruising.

A choice of 27 itineraries are on offer in the brochure, covering the whole of Europe, from Italy to the Arctic Circle and Spain to Scotland.

Guests travel in comfort aboard a luxury coach on APT’s Luxury Land Journeys in Europe and are accompanied by an APT Tour Director throughout.

Rail has increased in popularity amongst Australian travellers, prompting APT to introduce two new itineraries to the program for 2017.

The 14 Day Treasures of Eastern Europe takes guests aboard the Golden Eagle Danube Express from Venice in the Mediterranean Budapest via Gdynia in Poland showcasing all the history and sights in between. Highlights include a private organ recital in at Oliwa Cathedral in Gdansk and a gentle raft ride through the gorges of the Dunajec River in Poland.

Also new is the 12 Day Arctic Explorer aboard the Golden Eagle Luxury Train from St Petersburg to Moscow via Kirkenes, Northern Norway. As well as the chance to see the Northern Lights, guests also enjoy highlights such a snowmobile-drawn sleigh ride across the frozen fjords and a hovercraft transfer to Kizhi Island.

Also featured in the brochure are APT’s new Small Group Discoveries. This new and beautifully procured holiday collection offers a choice of seven itineraries, visiting some of Europe’s most sought after destinations.

Designed for a maximum of 20 guests and also accompanied by an APT Tour Director, each journey offers a detailed exploration of its destination at a more leisurely pace.

Unique and authentic accommodation features on each tour, from Chateau de Fere in Reims with its own ruins in the backyard and a Michelin starred restaurant; to the Villa Athena in Sicily, the only five star hotel located within the Valley of Temples; the chance to stay at a brand new luxury hotel in Santorini, the Santo Maris Oia, boasting its own private sea view veranda to capture those famous sunset views; and the Byblos Art Hotel Amista outside Verona, a 16th century villa also acting as an exhibition of contemporary art.

Early booking offers are available and include an air credit of up to $1,000 per couple for all land and rail tours of nine days or longer and up to $500 per couple for tours of eight days or less. These offers are available until 30 November 2016 or until sold out and terms and conditions apply.
