Couples, singles and small groups interested in staying at Wild Bush Luxury’s historic Arkaba Homestead, located in South Australia’s spectacular Flinders Ranges, will now be able to book individual rooms, with the property expanding its booking options beyond the previous exclusive reservations’ policy.

ImperialQueensParkWhile the iconic and beautiful Arkaba Homestead, which dates back to 1851, is still available for exclusive bookings, the change will allow more travellers to experience the wonders of Arkaba’s private wildlife conservancy and its spectacular outback landscape without being required to fill all of the five rooms available.

Owned and operated by one of Australia’s leading inspirational outback experience companies, Wild Bush Luxury, the Arkaba Homestead is situated against the backdrop of the stunning Elder Range. A classic Flinders building with thick stone walls and shady verandahs, the homestead allows guests to experience the natural beauty of Australia’s outback in understated luxury and comfort.

Wild Bush Luxury CEO, Charles Carlow said the move to offer more flexible booking options will open up the property to a wider group of travellers.

“Arkaba offers an unforgettable, exclusive and authentic Australian outback experience, which we want more and more travellers to enjoy,” said Mr Carlow.

“With only five rooms and welcoming, onsite staff, our guests are able to share Arkaba’s magnificent landscape with just a select few other guests but this new development will allow us to host guests who previously may not have considered the exclusive booking option.”

Features of the homestead include a welcoming library with deep leather armchairs and a large stone fireplace, plus a private open terrace used for dining occasions, with breath-taking views of the ranges beyond. With no telephones, televisions, minibars or the typical features of a hotel room to distract, the focus is on the experience and one of the most beautiful properties and settings in Australia.

Wild Bush Luxury’s popular Arkaba Walk, which redefines the classic Aussie ‘bush walk’, adding luxurious touches to a private hike in the Flinders Ranges, will still see guests finishing their trek with a night at the beautifully restored homestead.

The first two nights of the Arkaba Walk are spent in Arkaba’s signature star beds at two semi-permanent camps taking in the natural beauty of their surrounds and discovering the secrets of the land and wildlife from Arkaba’s trained and passionate guides.

Guests also have the opportunity to learn about the conservation work being carried out on the property, as part of Wild Bush Luxury’s commitment to the conservation of Australia’s natural and cultural heritage. It is this local knowledge that makes a stay at Arkaba an enriching and truly Australian experience.

Just five hours drive (or a one-hour charter flight) from Adelaide via South Australia’s wine regions, Arkaba is one of Australia’s most accessible outback experiences.

Individual rooms at the Arkaba Homestead costs $816 per person per night twin share, with a minimum stay of two nights.

Rates are inclusive of chef prepared meals, beverages and privately guided activities on the property (4WD safaris, wildlife viewing, daily guiding).
