EGT mediaTVWhile at Australian Tourism Exchange recently I bumped into Andrew Castles from Coral Princess Cruises, described as Australia’s leader in nature-based adventure and expedition cruising by small ship.

Established in 1984, Coral Princess Cruises, cruises Australia’s Great Barrier Reef and Kimberley and more, including with its state-of-the-art flagship Oceanic Discoverer, which was the first Australian-owned and registered passenger ship to attain full international SOLAS compliance in over fifty years.

The launch of Oceanic Discoverer allowed Coral Princess Cruises to expand our operations throughout the most exotic and rarely visited destinations of the South Pacific, including the archipelagos of Melanesia, Papua New Guinea and New Zealand. In 2013 we again expanded our vision with an inaugural expedition through the Spice Islands of Indonesia and Raja Ampat, with plans being developed to expand further into exciting and new destinations throughout Asia-Pacific over coming years.

They have professional crews to operate their outstanding small ships and their land-based support team is selected on their ability and willingness to provide all guests with exemplary service and an unforgettable environmental and leisure experience.

Their expedition-style ships are large enough to provide all the comforts and facilities passengers expect of much larger cruise ships, yet small enough to enable access to reef and island sites inaccessible to other vessels.

Coral Princess Cruises has an open bridge policy and the small passenger numbers mean guests participate in an environmental experience, which is both personal and memorable, with the itineraries offered allowing guests the option of complete immersion in an eco-tourism adventure and a relaxed shipboard life.
