Leading travel company Trafalgar has revealed its 2016 Asia programme sales have seen an increase of up to 50% year to date as the guided holiday specialist gets ready for its first departures of the season.

Trafalgar’s best-selling Asia itinerary, Splendours of Japan, will kick off the 2016 travel period on Saturday 16 January, 2016, and will take guests to Tokyo, Mt. Fuji, Takayama, Kanazawa and Kyoto to experience the very best of Japan.

Matthew Cameron-Smith, Managing Director, Trafalgar Australia said. “We’re extremely pleased to see the growth Asia has shown over the past 12 months. We’ve worked very closely with our Product Managers in each destination to ensure all experiences provide our guests with an enriching and unforgettable travel experience.”

“Whether it’s participating in sustainable tourism practices such as our #TrafalgarCares initiative at a local school in Chiang Mai, Thailand; providing our guests with Authentic Accommodation with an opportunity to stay in traditional Ryokan stay in Kyoto, Japan; or joining local farmers in the vegetable fields surrounding Tre Que village, Hoi An to gain a Cultural Insight into their daily routine, we’ve continue to build upon our holidays so our guests have the opportunity to go even deeper into Asia’s culture.” Cameron-Smith said.

2016 will also mark Trafalgar’s first departure into Myanmar as the global operator continues to expand its product offering in Asia. Named “Destination of the Year” at the 2015 TTG Asia Awards and by Travel+Leisure in 2014, Myanmar continues to be a standout destination for travellers in 2016.

Now is the time to book, with 7.5% Early Payment Discounts for Asia ending this Thursday 17 December, 2016.
