Asia Incentive Travel Survey Reveals Taiwan as Top Destination for Business Travelers The Fourth Asia Super Team: Adventure to Dreams Combines Competition with Innovative Big Data Marketing

Organized by Bureau of Foreign Trade, MOEA, and executed by TAITRA, the Fourth “Asia Super Team” competition incorporated innovative data marketing model for the first time, and carried out “incentive travel destinations survey” by targeting Asian business travelers. The competition triggered the interests of enterprises from various Asian countries, attracting over 4,000 business travelers from eight target markets including Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, and Vietnam, and marked the first time that a cross-market survey of “Asia Incentive Travel Destinations” was conducted.

Continuing the entertaining and popular competition format from the previous three years, the Fourth “Asia Super Team” targeted business travelers and enterprise representatives from eight target Asian markets in the first stage of competition, replacing the online competition format in the past with “Incentive Travel Destinations Survey” to more precisely discover enterprises from respective countries that are most capable of organizing incentive travels in Taiwan to qualify for the second stage in Taiwan.

Building on the popularity of the event over the past three years, this year’s “Asia Super Team” attracted over 4,000 Asian business participants within merely a month and a half, which included representatives from major and large corporations from different countries, such Kuron Corporation Limited, BUN Corporation, EUGENE Corporation; these are all potential targets to organize incentive travels in Taiwan.

First Large-Scale Online “Incentive Travel Destinations” Survey in Asia Reveals Taiwan as Top Choice.

Analyzing the 4,023 valid questionnaires collected, the most desired incentive travel destinations of Asian business travelers are mostly in Northeast Asian countries, such as Taiwan, Japan, and South Korean, where travel environments are more convenient and comprehensive. Further analysis on the most recent incentive travel destinations of Northeast Asian and Southeast Asian enterprises showed that Northeast Asian enterprises tended to visit Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, whereas Southeast Asian companies mostly preferred Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. This shows that Taiwan is a major hub in Asia, and safety, convenient transportation, warm hospitality, and abundant incentive travel resources have made Taiwan an important incentive travel destinations in Asia.

2017 Asia Super Team Final Stage Features Enterprise Teams from Eight Countries Competing for Championship.

Final Stage of “Asia Super Team: Adventure to Dreams” will be held from October 16 to 20 this year, inviting one enterprise participating in the survey with the greatest potential from each of the eight markets to delegate a team of four members to Taiwan to partake in the five-day, four-night onsite competition, where the teams have an opportunity to experience local MICE resources in various municipals as well as Taiwan’s unique culture and beautiful sceneries. The teams will compete for the championship as well as the grand prize of incentive travel in Taiwan worth USD 50,000. Kuron Corporation Limited will represent Thailand to compete in Taiwan.
