The Asian MICE Forum (AMF), MICE’s Asian Cup, will take place at the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC) from September 24 to 25, 2015. To celebrate the Forum’s tenth anniversary, additional activities have been added to the Forum line up. One such activity will feature the leading man of the Taiwan movie “Touch of the Light”, as blind pianist Yu-Shiang Huang will perform at the grand opening to herald Taiwan’s MICE industry and the Forum.

Organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and commissioned by the Bureau of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Economic Affairs, the AMF is entering its 10th year of achievement. AMF 2015, themed “Transform! New Era of MICE”, continues its tradition of bringing international MICE leaders to Taiwan to share their insights on global MICE industry trends and experiences of success. Speakers will include Mrs. Nina Freysen-Pretorius, President of the world’s largest convention organization ICCA, Ms. Janet Tan-Collis, President of SACEOS, and Mr. Hans Bruder, General Manager of the number one exhibition construction enterprise in Germany OCTANORM. The hero behind the scene for Taiwan’s win as future host country of the 2021 Rotary Convention, Rotary Foundation Trustee Mr. Jackson Hsieh, will be an honored contributor at the CEO Discussion.

To expound on new visions, AMF 2015 will see Mr. Jason Hsu, Curator & Founder of TEDxTaipei, give a keynote speech on Taiwan stories in the TED way. Other notable guests will include MICE experts from Austria, Japan, and Singapore, along with winners of the 2015 UFI Marketing Award, 2014 SITE Crystal Award, and 2014 ICCA PR Award to talk in depth about hot topics like creative destination marketing with innovative events. In addition, the AMF EXPO will showcase O2O software, iBeacon, and other MICE-related technology as well as green MICE techniques. Participants will get a chance to be significantly inspired by the rich and fulfilling content of the Forum.

The Cross Strait Forum has always been a major spotlight of the AMF. This year organizers of the following three mega events will join discussions: the Taipei 101 Run Up — the world’s highest step climbing challenge, Road of Xuanzang Business Schools Gobi Challenge — an annual global EMBA event, and Taichung Mazu International Festival — a world’s top three religious festival ranked by the Discovery Channel. Another cross strait MICE meeting will be held in conjunction with the Forum with the aim to create more chances of cooperation for businesses on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.

In addition, a special AMF Rice CSR Activity has already begun with the organic cultivation of rice that will be used for AMF 2015 meals, as well as for charitable donation. The aim is to contribute to society with a public welfare activity and to disseminate the passion and public benefit philosophy of Taiwan’s MICE practitioners.

AMF 2015 will see top MICE professionals and renowned innovative marketing experts from all over the world as honorable speakers. Furthermore, there will be events like an Asian MICE Young Generation Forum and a MICE Destination Marketing Contest to add to a most attractive MICE Week in Taipei. AMF 2015 is expected to convey a new wave of enthusiasm towards the global MICE industry and is a not-to-miss event!
