Asian Trails held its annual Board of Directors meeting on the island of Lombok and Gilli Trawangan in Indonesia from April 3-7, with two nights in each destination.

Asian Trails CEO, Laurent Kuenzle, said each of the destinations in the company’s network take turns to host the meet. It was Indonesia’s turn this year, and Lombok was the chosen venue. Apart from him, the other board members in attendance were Asian Trails Chairman, Luzi Matzig, all the country managing directors and the finance directors.

The post-meeting tour was a two-night stay at Gilli Trawangan and a fabulous day boat trip around the islands on the newly renovated traditional schooner, Aliikai (photo shows the Asian Trails team on the schooner). This is a traditional Phinisi schooner from South Sulawesi with seven nicely appointed air-conditioned cabins with ensuite bathrooms. Describing the meeting as a success, Laurent said, “Our Asian Trails board meetings are an integral part of our yearly calendar. We discuss matters on hand at each destination, and take decisions on them.
