Asiatique The Riverfront to be the first shopping destination partner for TripAdvisor

Asiatique The Riverfront today announced that it will be the first shopping and lifestyle complex in Asia to partner with TripAdvisor™, the world’s largest travel site*.
As part of the partnership, there will be a customised Asiatique The Riverfront attractions page on TripAdvisor China, also known as Daodao to Chinese users, featuring traveller reviews and a detailed listing of its numerous boutiques and restaurants.
          Asiatique The Riverfront joins a growing number of leading tourism businesses around the world that believe in the value of traveller reviews. More than two billion unique worldwide visitors a year** visit TripAdvisor to research, plan and book their travel at A5A0302A1298FD50F079C9FC0F219ED81more than 3.7 million accommodations, restaurants and attractions. Asiatique The Riverfront, the largest shopping destination of its kind in Asia by the Chao Phraya River with over 1500 boutiques and 40 restaurants, will also encourage its visitors to write reviews on TripAdvisor.
          According to a recent report by TripAdvisor and the Boston Consulting Group¹, shopping is a key activity for Chinese travellers – 40 per cent of their travel budget is spent on shopping once they reach their destination. Dining, shopping and accommodation are the top 3 categories where Chinese consumers are trading up, with over 50 per cent who said that they are planning to increase their expenditure on these categories during travel. In addition to that, based on unique visitors recorded on Daodao.com (TripAdvisor official site in China), Bangkok came in sixth position out of 20 for most popular international destinations visited by Chinese travellers2. This indicates that there is a positive demand for Bangkok as a travel destination amongst Chinese travellers and Asiatique, the largest shopping and lifestyle destination of its kind in Asia, is well-positioned to win.
