Astor departs for Australia & kids are celebrating

November 14, 2013 Cruise No Comments Email Email

Cruise and Maritime Voyages is delighted to advise Australia’s cruise enthusiasts that ASTOR has began her journey Down Under.
She left Rome last week amid much fanfare to begin her 36 night Southbound itinerary to Fremantle, and will arrive on the morning of Wednesday, December 11.

The inaugural season promises to be a 3.5 month celebration, as all 15 itineraries scheduled have been popular with Australia’s holiday-makers.

CMV would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the various needs of different family members when holidaying aboard Astor, by announcing details of its Kids Club on selected cruises for the coming Australian season.

The Astor’s Kids Club will be available at different times of the day that will suit both parents and children (allowing both some quality private time) – with those between 4 and 12 years of age invited to participate.ASTOR_hiRes26dccf4597fa

Kid’s Club will be available only on those departing on December 18 (10 nights), 02 January (1 nights), 13 January (5 nights) and 20 January (5 nights) cruises.

While there is no purpose-built Kids Club facilities aboard the 620-passenger cruise ship, there are plenty of chances for the youngsters to commandeer areas of Astor for their own enjoyment, without influencing the entertainment and relaxation opportunities of the other guests.

And with the public areas of the ship being a major part of its $18.6 million refurbishment in 2010, parents can rest assured that their children will be enjoying themselves in a quality and safe environment.

The Astor Kids Club will also be run by qualified staff, who will be flexible in developing their daily programs, depending on the ages of those who are making the most of the offering.

Astor boasts several multi-purpose rooms that are attracting a variety of groups, including corporates looking for unique conference venues. The Astor’s Kids Clubwill be able to make the most of those, which means participants will have the opportunity to experience several parts of the ship during one itinerary.

Plus there are areas of the spectacular sports deck that are sure to host some memorable games played by the Kids Club participants.

Astor family accommodation is in high demand for the school holidays, so mums and dads need to get in quick to ensure that they secure their preferred itinerary.

Astor will be based in Fremantle from December 11, 2013 for the upcoming Australian summer. She will offer 15 itineraries during the first of three initial summers that she is committed to being based in Fremantle.
