Aurora Expeditions, Australia’s leading expedition cruising company, continues to expand its Sydney-based team as it prepares to launch the new state-of-the-art vessel Greg Mortimer in October 2019.

Following a number of recent appointments, the company has today announced the appointment of Jackie Gordon to the role of Business Development Manager. In her new role, Jackie will be responsible for developing and actively managing relationships with all trade distribution partners throughout Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia.

Jackie joins the team with over 15 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry. Most recently Jackie spent four years with Insider Journeys as a wholesaler specialising in small group touring throughout Asia. Prior to that, Jackie held the Sales Manager role at Coral Expedition Cruises for almost eight years.

Jackie’s appointment follows that of Dianna Schinella to the role of Industry Sales and Marketing Manager, and Alex Fayan as Business Development Manager.

Robert Halfpenny, Managing Director of Aurora Expeditions noted “Jackie’s appointment signals the organisation’s ongoing commitment to the trade as well as the need to service the increase in demand for Aurora’s unique expedition product.”

“As the team expands, so too does Aurora’s offering,” notes Robert, commenting on Aurora’s recently launched expeditions to all-new destinations including Latin America, Caribbean Coast, Iceland, Greenland and East Coast Canada. The destinations were revealed as a part of the full 2019/20 global program that features five brand-new expedition itineraries in regions between the poles, as well as six new trekking itineraries including the reintroduction of two treks in Nepal. The global program marks a new chapter in Aurora Expeditions’ proud history as it prepares to launch the Greg Mortimer in October 2019.
