Masterchef Lap Fai continues to outdo himself with the debut of the season’s new exquisite takeaway selections.

Symbolic of welcoming an ‘elevated’ year of fortune, bring home the Okinawa Black Cane Sugar Nian Gao 生机勃勃(冲绳黑蔗糖年糕)(S$40.80) and Purple Chinese Yam Cake with Chopped Shiitake Mushrooms and Conpoy 紫气东来(瑶柱菇粒紫淮山糕)(S$42.80). A perfect harmony of sweet and savoury, the traditional Nian Gao is given a refreshing spin with the use of premium Okinawa black cane sugar, resulting in a delightful variation with hints of tantalising fragrance. This customary treat can be enjoyed pan-fried or freshly-steamed for those who fancy a lighter alternative.

Similarly denoting a forthcoming year of prosperity is the delectable Purple Chinese Yam Cake with Chopped Shiitake Mushrooms and Conpoy. Known for its nutritious properties, this delicious taro dish melds the sweet delicate taste of ‘Huai Shan’ and gratifying bits of shiitake and conpoy, lending a touch of savoury umami flavour.

Masterchef Lap Fai’s specially concocted sweet-tangy sauce complements the brilliant colours and refreshing flavours of this auspicious salad!

Highlights on the menus include Sautéed Tiger Prawn and Egg White topped with Salmon Roe 嘻哈齐欢聚 (三文鱼子蛋白炒虎虾球); Steamed Soon Hock Fish in Superior Soy Sauce 年年庆有馀(清蒸笋壳鱼);Braised Whole Abalone (10-head) with Fa Cai, Dried Oysters, Venison Tendon and Seasonal Greens in Superior Oyster Sauce 生意贯全球 (蚝皇发财好市十头鲍扣鲜鹿筋时蔬); Braised Superior Bird’s Nest with Shredded Scallop and Egg White平步青云官燕盏(带子丝蛋白扒官燕盏); Roasted Whole Golden Suckling Pig 金猪迎新春(金陵片皮猪全体);and the list of delicacies goes on.

Hua Ting’s Auspicious Takeaways and Prosperity Set Menus are available from 9 January till 11 February 2017.Prosperity Set Menus are priced at S$98 or S$138 per person (minimum 2 diners), S$388 or S$518 for 4 persons, S$688 for 6 persons, S$768 for 8 persons, S$888 to S$5888 for 10 persons. Reunion Lunch is served from 11:30am to 2:30pm on Mondays to Fridays and 11:00am to 2:30pm on Saturdays, Sundays, Eve of Public Holidays and Public Holidays, while Reunion Dinner is from 6:00pm to 10:00pm daily.

Priding itself on serving up gourmet hotpots using premium produce, Hua Ting Steamboat provides the perfect setting for your convivial reunions. Presenting three set menus priced from S$68 per person, look forward to dunking fresh ingredients in an array of flavourful broths prepared from scratch daily. Notable accompaniments include Japanese Scallops, Live Prawns, Sliced Garoupa, Australian Sliced Beef, Drunken Chicken, alongside handmade items such as Shrimp Paste Ball with Minced Pork and Chinese Wine, Fish Paste with Fish Roe.

Reunion lunch is served daily from11:30am to 2:30pm, while reunion dinner is served from 5:30pm to 10:30pm.
