Aussie-Owned HotelsCombined Further Expands Asian Presence with Thai Partnership

April 1, 2014 OTA News No Comments Email Email

Award-winning hotel price comparison website HotelsCombined.com has continued its recent Asian growth by partnering with Zodio,  a popular Thai-based iPhone search app that provides tips and reviews on a variety of different businesses ranging from nightclubs to spas.

As a result of this alliance, Zodio now allows for hotel price comparison that is powered by the HotelsCombined aggregation platform. In addition to searching for hotels, browsing ratings and reading reviews, users can now check rates and availability directly within the app. All hotel pages on Zodio will show a “Book Now” button, which allows users to then complete their booking with one of a number of major travel websites including Expedia, Hotels.com, Venere, Laterooms, EasyToBook and many more. The feature is currently only available in the iPhone app with potential future integration into other platforms. Candi Beach Cottages

This latest partnership follows a number of recent initiatives from the Australian owned and operated HotelsCombined throughout South East Asia which include providing the site in Vietnamese, Bahasa Malay, Thai and Indonesian as well as other collaborations with regional suppliers and affiliates.

Paul Riampanich, HotelsCombined marketing manager for Thailand, said: “We’re very pleased to be partnering with Zodio and to be bringing the convenience of hotel price comparison to a new sector of South East Asian consumers. Thanks to this integration, Zodio users will now be able to quickly search and compare accommodation rates while on-the-go, ultimately saving both time and money.”

Jai Govindani, Founder/CEO of Zodio, said: “We see this form of integration and lead-generation to be the best of both worlds – engaging our users and providing them with additional value while monetizing our platform. This integration with HotelsCombined paves the way for our future efforts.”

Zodio is currently live in Thailand, the Philippines and Indonesia, and is expected to launch into Malaysia and India within the second half of this year.
