unnamed (1)Vanuatu Tourism Office (VTO) together with Hoot Holidays hosted a group of four wholesale consultants in Vanuatu last week, giving them the chance to experience the beauty of the islands of Efate and Espiritu Santo first-hand, while broadening their product knowledge of the destination.

The itinerary was designed to educate the group on the large range of holiday accommodation at differing price points as well as showcasing the diverse culture, activities and natural beauty of Vanuatu.

Linda Kalpoi, VTO general manager, said they welcome opportunities to partner with wholesalers like Hoot Holidays in order to educate more of their representatives on the real Vanuatu experience.

“Our wholesaler consultants are the destination experts in Australia and are responsible for spreading the Vanuatu message, so we want to ensure this is a positive and exciting message,” Ms Kalpoi said.

“By providing consultants with the opportunity to experience Vanuatu, they are able to speak from the heart about their experience and convey their genuine love of the destination, and that is what Vanuatu is all about.”

Nina Henderson, Hoot Holidays Destination Manager said it is imperative they stand out from the pack in this competitive market.

“By working with like-minded organisations, such as VTO, we strengthen our expertise, destination knowledge and overall position within the Australian tourism industry,” Ms Henderson said.

“Famil trips such as this one, not only incentivise our team members but they also provide the opportunity to experience the unique culture, hospitality and breathtaking beauty that Vanuatu offers, enabling them to raise the bar on the customer service we provide and really connect with our customers to offer insiders’ advice.”

The group also enjoyed the Reef Explorer semi-sub experience just off the island of Iririki and visited the beautiful Matevulu Blue Hole on the island of Santo before returning to Australia.
