Australia is taking a shine to one of Vietnam’s most compelling new destinations — Cam Ranh.

One of the country’s leading media  Luxury Travel Magazine — has this month called out The Anam on Long Beach as the “Best Overseas Luxury Resort” in its 2019 Gold List awards.

Designed to recognise the best in luxury travel, the magazine’s 15th annual Gold List awards attracted 7,000 voters, 60,000 votes and announced 25 winners and almost 200 finalists.

The Anam, a 77-villa and 136 room-and-suite resort, bested the likes of Soneva Jani Maldives, Ayana Bali, Como Maalifushi Maldives, Four Seasons Bora Bora, Kokomo Private Island Fiji, Likuliku Lagoon Resort Fiji, One&Only Reethi Ra Maldives, Six Senses Fiji and Sofitel Fiji, all of whom were finalists in the award category.

The Anam was also deemed a finalist for the “Best Overseas Boutique Property, Villa or Lodge”.

The Anam’s founder, Pham Van Hien, said his team was thrilled that the independently owned and operated resort had been recognised in this fashion Down Under.

“We’re so lucky to welcome so many Aussies to our beautiful part of the world on Cam Ranh peninsula, and we’re thankful to those Aussies who voted for us for this year’s Gold List,” he said.

“We’ve worked tirelessly since our grand opening in April 2017 to promptly establish our reputation as one of Vietnam’s finest resorts, overlooking one of the country’s best beaches in Vietnam’s hottest new destination  Cam Ranh.”
