With a little over a week to go until South Pacific’s inaugural women’s international PRO-AM, Australians Sarah Kemp and Victoria Fricot will join Kiwi Phillis Meti as the event’s official ambassadors, representing the women’s PGA tournament, taking place from 21st to 24th of May 2018.

The competition boasts a prize-fund of $40,000 for the professional ladies to play for and is being held at the recently opened, $250 million world-class five-star beach front accommodation, Sheraton Deva Resort & Spa.

Sarah Kemp –  Sarah Kemp is a young Australian professional golfer. She started playing golf as early as 12 years old, playing off a zero handicap by age 15. She is a member of the Australian Ladies Professional Golf (ALPG) association. Last year she played at Walmart Arkansas Championship sponsored by P&G at the end of the tournament, she had recorded a season best finish of T17.

Victoria Fricot – Originally hailing from Brisbane, Victoria is ranked 138 in the Golf Australia Order of Merit (GAOOM), with a GA of 7.06. A star on the rise, she is a wonderful ambassador for ladies golf.

Phillis Meti – Phillis Meti is a professional golfer from Auckland, New Zealand. Although born in New Zealand, Meti is of Cook Islands Maori descent. Her home golf club is Akarana, located in Auckland city. Phillis is also a two-time World Long Drive champion

This is a great opportunity for budding golfers to join in the fun and play with the pros, and take their place in history at this inaugural competition. The event will be played over three days, day one will be a fun pro-am followed by the two rounds of the official tournament.

Sarah Kemp said: “It’s such an honour to be asked to represent the South Pacific’s inaugural ladies’ PRO-AM competition, I’m thrilled that ladies’ golf will be centre stage at the New Caledonia Sheraton Deva Resort.

“There are so many great golf professionals taking part in the tournament, I truly believe that it will cement ladies golf on the map, and what better location to showcase the South Pacific, the home of the inaugural PGA competition!”

Amateurs will enjoy playing with the pros for all three rounds, you don’t have to be a great golfer to take part, just have an official golf handicap of 30 or under.

Apart from playing an excellent golf course, participants will also enjoy a lavish welcome cocktail reception and the prize giving dinner on the last night, which will be hosted at the magnificent Sheraton Deva Resort.

Rates for participation begin at $AU1669.00 for a golfer, and $AU1119.00 for a non-golfer (cost is based on a share twin/ double basis)
