Bali’s newest tourism attraction, the Canggu Club, has announced the appointment of experienced business operator Duane Ferguson to the position of General Manager.
Originally from Perth, Mr Ferguson owned and operated fitness centres in Western Australia before moving to Bali two and a half years ago.
He began working for Canggu Club 18 months ago and quickly became a key employee progressing from Fitness Instructor to Director of Sports & Recreation before being promoted to General Manager.
“Canggu Club offers the best of both worlds – the opportunity to welcome holiday makers to our leisure facilities such as Splash Water Park, Strike 10 Pin Bowling and Bounce Trampoline Centre, but also to build relationships with our loyal, expat members who frequent the club on a daily basis,’’ Mr Ferguson said.
“With a constant schedule of improvements and additions, Canggu Club presents many opportunities to innovate and create which is incredibly exciting and rewarding, especially with a very talented team of locals and skilled international staff,” he said.
The Canggu Club underwent major renovations and upgrades only 12 months ago and now prides itself on its ‘something for everyone’ motto.
“It as secured itself as Bali’s premier entertainment and sporting facility with a range of activities on site for adults, kids, teens, couples, families and friends.
“Kids can splash about in Splash Water Park while the girls relax in the luxurious Body Temple Spa. Men haven’t been forgotten either with The Club House showing major sports from all over the globe, coupled with nightly happy hour, pool tables and more,” Mr Ferguson said.
Additional facilities include Indonesia’s only Bounce Trampoline Centre as well as Strike 10 Pin Bowling and Cubby House Kids Club. All are indoors and undercover ensuring rain or shine, there is no shortage of action.
The Canggu Club is equipped with a full fitness centre, tennis centre, change rooms, showers and locker storage – perfect for those leaving on a late flight.
Renovations are currently underway for a new restaurant concept at The Verandah, which is set to be complete this December. The Bounce attraction is also being upgraded with new trampolines and an air bag.
Canggu Club actively supports local charities including, Solemen, Jodie O’Shea, Keep Bali Clean and Kalimantan Bushfire Appeal.
The Club has recently been nominated as Best Bali Tourist Attraction 2015 in the annual Hello Bali Awards and Body Temple Spa (the Club’s onsite Spa and Salon) has also been nominated in Bali’s Best Spa/Salon category.
Canggu Club is open daily from 6am-10pm.
