Australia’s leading music-themed cruise-charter company, South Australian-based Choose Your Cruise, has had phenomenal success running music-themed cruises in Australia for the past five years. Now, in partnership with travel organisation Cruiseco, they plan to replicate their winning formula from the cruise industry’s largest market Australia. First stop, Southampton in the UK from where the much-celebrated Rock The Boat cruise will set sail on theCelebrity Eclipse on September 30th, 2016.

Choose Your Cruise CEO and founder, Mick Manov[3] explained their strategy saying, “The UK was a stand-out choice for us because of its strong musical milieu and great geographical positioning to Europe. Plus the world’s top performers are drawn to the UK so it makes a lot of sense to launch our specialised music-themed cruise from there.”

Featuring a stellar line-up of iconic British rock groups, the inaugural Rock The Boat UK will sail from the UK to Belgium and then on to France. Passengers will have the opportunity to experience performances from incredible acts all while indulging in the luxurious cruise-liner Celebrity Eclipse. The world class musical talent on board will include Gerry & the Pacemakers, The Searchers, Gary Puckett and the Union Gap, The Mersey Beats, Brian Poole & Chip Hawkes and much, much more.

In a recent edition of The Cruise Review[4], research demonstrated that the UK cruise market is growing rapidly year on year with cruises from UK ports set to overtake fly-cruises and UK passenger numbers set to tip 2 million within the year.

Choose Your Cruise currently runs three very different musically themed cruises from Sydney and Brisbane ports each year. Rock the Boat which caters to rock and roll fans, Cruisin Country which appeals to the huge country music fan base and Bravo – Cruise of the Performing Arts which launched for the first time at the end of last year.
