Australian Event Tempts The Taste Buds Of New Zealand Corporates

Business Events Australia, in partnership with New Zealand conference and incentive event management company HOT events, hosted a dinner event in Auckland last night with Australian chef Matt Stone to highlight Australia’s excellent food and wine experiences.

Penny Lion, Tourism Australia Executive General Manager of Events said, “Last night was another example of the work Tourism Australia does in the New Zealand market to raise awareness and consideration of Australia’s quality business events offering. The dinner provided an opportunity to share the stories of our people, place and produce with valued New Zealand corporate decision makers.”

Twenty-six corporates were treated to an Australian inspired five-course degustation menu created by Australian chef Matt Stone, who is renowned for his passion for natural and sustainable food.  The menu featured Australian ingredients such as mountain pepper, macadamias and anise myrtle, and dishes were accompanied by wine from Oakridge winery in Victoria, where Stone is Executive Head Chef.

New Zealand is Australia’s largest inbound market in terms of visitation and is a major contributor to business events expenditure in Australia.
