Regarded as the definitive superyacht event in Asia, Kata Rocks’ annual Superyacht Rendezvous continues to build on its impressive partner portfolio with the addition of the Australian Superyacht Rendezvous as a co-marketing partner for its 2019 event.

The perfect complement to KRSR, the ASR, Australia’s boating industry capital, confirmed its alignment with the Asian-based event, connecting elite members of the industry across both continents, reflecting KRSR’s development strategy since the launch 3.5 years ago to place Phuket on the global superyacht map.

“Obviously we are delighted to partner the Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous as the ASR continues to grow from strength to strength. The KRSR has done a great job of elevating Phuket and raising awareness about all that the destination has to offer as a superyacht hub for the region,” said Trenton Gay, CEO of Gold Coast City Marina and organizer of the Australian Superyacht Rendezvous.

Shining an international light on the Australian Superyacht industry, its capabilities and the potential which exists within its markets and its shores, the ASR, like KRSR, brings together those with a business and personal interest in super yachting, driving worldwide media coverage and market interest in yacht chartering and ownership, whilst revealing the potential in Australian yachting and the greater region.

Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous is set to return to the luxury resort for its fourth annual event from 12 -15 December 2019, drawing on an impressive social program along with some of the most remarkable superyachts on display in Asia.

ASR joins KRSR’s impressive partnership and sponsor portfolio for the 2019 event that includes the world’s most iconic superyacht brands, most respected brokerage houses and prestigious shipyards including Oceanco, Benetti, Burgess, Princess Yachts, Camper & Nicholsons, Lee Marine, Seal Superyachts and Royal Huisman amongst others.

Designed to bring like-minded people together including Kata Rocks villa owners, superyacht owners and discerning guests with an interest in yachting and luxury lifestyle as well as industry professionals, Kata Rocks is an idyllic destination for the invitation-only, world-class event, with the luxury yachting world beginning the official countdown to the momentous four-daylong rendezvous.

This year KRSR is also taking a more active role in raising environmental marine awareness, together with SeaKeepers Asia which joined the KRSR for the first time last year. Marine research and activies are still being finalised with a confirmed programme of events expected soon.

The event’s elite status is one of the fastest growing superyacht gatherings of its kind in Southeast Asia, continuing to enhance Phuket’s reputation as one of the most prestigious yachting destinations in Thailand.
