Australian Toby Price Features In The Largest Ever Entry Of Red Bull Competitors In The 2016 Edition Of The Dakar Rally Starting In Buenos Aires In January.
From Argentina, through Bolivia, and back again, The Dakar Rally (or simply ‘The Dakar’), is widely considered the toughest race on the planet, set against some of the harshest conditions known to man. The four major competitive groups in the Dakar are the motorcycles, quads, the cars class, (which range from buggies to small SUVs) and the trucks class.
Over the course of two weeks, traversing the deserts of Argentina & Bolivia, Toby will race alongside fellow Red Bull riders in team Desert Wings, as he masters the harsh terrain and conditions that make Dakar so unimaginably extreme.
Notably, the previous 10 editions of the Dakar bike contest have been won by either Cyril Despres or Marc Coma, but this time neither of them will be in this race. The door is wide open for another two-wheel wonder to emerge and Red Bull KTM Factory Team member Toby is primed for success, following his 2015 third place performance.
“Last year was a dream result for me to finish on the podium. We worked hard and got that bit of luck you need. Now I want to back that result up or even go a couple better,” said Toby.
