The Australian Turf Club, operator of Rosehill Gardens, Warwick Farm, Canterbury Park and the jewel in Sydney’s racing industry, Royal Randwick Racecourse, has joined forces with tourism marketing experts, Parker Travel Collection, to embark on a three-year campaign aimed at positioning itself firmly across Australia’s mainstream visitor market.
Each one of the Australian Turf Club’s venue assets have been designed to showcase world-class facilities that combine stylish surroundings with fashion and cuisine as well as the excitement of international horse racing.
The Australian Turf Club, through each of its racecourse destinations, has already etched an enviable reputation for its world-class brand of horse racing, fashionable events and corporate entertaining. While each racecourse has its own definable personality and unique characteristics, there is consistence in the range of hospitality packages available from gourmet picnic hampers through to luxury corporate enclosures.
With the strategic support of Parker Travel Collection, the Australian Turf Club will start to explore opportunities that will further expand its market share into the global tourism arena with a range of new and innovative tourism offerings and calls to action.
Parker Travel Collection’s managing director Todd Parker said “A key focus of our partnership with the Australian Turf Club will be to work on developing relationships with the tourism sector by leveraging off the already high profile and discerning nature of Royal Randwick Racecourse.”
According to Todd, Royal Randwick is the ideal platform because along with being situated within minutes of the CBD and in close proximity to the airport, it is Australia’s longest standing race venue and has been a highlight of Sydney’s social calendar for more than 150 years.
Tony Partridge, COO of Australian Turf Club said he was looking forward to working with Parker Travel Collection especially in light of Royal Randwick’s recent multimillion dollar development that has transformed its prestigious location and facilities into a flourishing social scene, enriched by over 35 bars and restaurants, reserved dining establishments and cutting edge facilities for members and racegoers alike.
