Showtime Events Centre was announced – Winner, ‘Best Wedding Reception Venue’ at the Australian Bridal Industry Academy (ABIA) Awards.

The ABIA Awards were set up in 1996 to assist in setting the standards in the free for all wedding market place. Held at The Star Gold Coast, this is the first time Showtime Events Centre has been a finalist at the National Awards, after winning the category at the Victorian ABIA Awards three of the last five years. (Winner 2015, 2017, 2018).

The National awards compile 3,712 businesses rated by 102,293 newlyweds over the past 4 years. ABIA then narrows down that list to 317 finalists, and just 9 National Award winners.

All ABIA Winners & Finalists across 30+ categories are determined solely based on the ratings provided by the Past Brides & Grooms of Australia –each year the ABIA Awards Program receives 25,000+ Wedding registrations, which are invited to rate & review their wedding vendors in the Quality of Product, Quality of Service, Attitude of Staff and Value for Money.

The other finalists in the field of 20 included The Grand Ballroom in South Australia, Dockside Group in NSW, and Cloudland Functions and Weddings in Queensland. Showtime also placed runner up in the ‘Best Function Coordinator’ category, missing out on the top prize by just .02%.

Showtime Events Centre, located in South Wharf, is the flagship event space operated by Showtime Event Group, who specialise in Boutique weddings, and Business events encompassing unique venues and creative conferencing. In February of this year, Showtime Event Group was appointed by the National Trust of Australia (Victoria) as the exclusive caterer to the Old Melbourne Gaol and has also launched an off-site catering arm.
