The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) took Kylie Gillies, the presenter of the popular Australian programme The Morning Show, on a whistle-stop tour of the best sights the emirate had to offer as she recorded the show in the UAE capital this month.

The Morning Show was invited to experience the extraordinary cultural, entertainment and leisure activities the emirate has to offer by DCT Abu Dhabi, in partnership with 7travel, Etihad Airways and St Regis Nation Towers Abu Dhabi, with the vision being broadcast over two weeks from 6 to 17 May.

Jennifer Gaskin, Australia Country Manager for DCT Abu Dhabi, said that The Morning Show was a great way to promote Abu Dhabi because the programme’s hosts have a fun-loving style, while Abu Dhabi is perfect as a fun destination for families to visit.

“Kylie discovered firsthand how much there is to do in Abu Dhabi,” said Gaskin. “She got to experience the famous Falcon Hospital, had a tour around Emirates Palace, visited Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and rode a camel in the desert.  It was a wonderful way for DCT Abu Dhabi to showcase what extraordinary experiences there are in the emirate!”

Etihad Airways General Manager Australia and New Zealand, Sarah Built said: “As the national carrier of the UAE, we were delighted to fly Kylie Gilles up to Abu Dhabi to experience Etihad’s hospitality first hand and showcase the extensive choices we offer to the program’s large fan base. From our transformed lounge experience to our newly introduced Choose Well products and services across all cabins, there is something for everyone.”

Sally McFadyen, Head of 7travel, said: “There is no better way to show what a destination has to offer than by using a TV programme like The Morning Show to not only tell the amazing stories about what the destination has to offer, but also to provide great travel deals so viewers can book the experience for themselves.”
