That’s according to the Randstad Award, an international accolade based on the results of what’s claimed to be the largest employment survey into employer branding research globally.
It found that 45% of potential employees in Australia would like to work in the aviation sector, topping the poll. Runners up were FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) 41% and mining and natural resources 39%.
Randstad hosted the annual local Randstad Award gala dinner at Sydney’s Doltone House last week. The event is held annually in 23 countries, and recognises the most attractive employers in each country based on the results of the largest independent survey.

The Randstad Award, launched in Belgium 15 years ago, is based on the perceptions of over 7000 jobseekers locally, with research designed to uncover how Australia’s largest 150 employers are perceived in the eyes of today’s jobseekers.
Randstad Award research is conducted by a third party research company, ICMA, in 23 countries around the world including; USA, UK, France, The Netherlands, Spain, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Singapore.
