egtmedia59Virgin Australia is the most attractive employer in Australia and vast numbers of Australians want to work in the aviation sector. Qantas is the fifth most attractive employer.

That’s according to the Randstad Award, an international accolade based on the results of what’s claimed to be the largest employment survey into employer branding research globally.

The 2015 Randstad Award in Australia highlighted some of the most attractive industry sectors potential jobseekers wish to work in, and their preferred employers within each industry category.

It found that 45% of potential employees in Australia would like to work in the aviation sector, topping the poll. Runners up were FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) 41% and mining and natural resources 39%.

Randstad hosted the annual local Randstad Award gala dinner at Sydney’s Doltone House last week. The event is held annually in 23 countries, and recognises the most attractive employers in each country based on the results of the largest independent survey.

Randstad Award research is conducted by a third party research company, ICMA, in 23 countries around the world including; USA, UK, France, The Netherlands, Spain, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Singapore.
