Three AYANA Hotels in Bali have achieved their third EarthCheck Silver Certification by proving their leadership status in environmental sustainability. AYANA Resort and Spa, BALI; The Villas at AYANA Resort, BALI and RIMBA Jimbaran BALI by AYANA have long held environmental sustainability as part of its core vision and mission and have implemented numerous environmental programs to better streamline and manage their operations. These include energy conservation initiatives and waste and water management programs, all of which fall under the remit of the company’s Environment, Health and Safety Division. Each resort implements and manages sustainable programs and ensures that each property adheres to internationally-accepted operating standards.

AYANA is committed to achieving the best practice of environmental and social sustainability and have partnered with EarthCheck, the world’s leading scientific benchmarking, certification and advisory group for travel and tourism since 2015. After achieving the bronze benchmark in 2016, the resorts continued the annual EarthCheck audit and achieved Silver Certification in 2017 and 2018.

AYANA Hotels in Bali have implemented an Environmental Management System that meets the requirements of the EarthCheck Standards. The team at AYANA strives towards reducing our 2019 footprint on the environment by 19.2% compared to 2018 by implementing sustainable initiatives aimed at improving hotel’s performance by reducing the use of energy by 22.2% and water by 24.7% as well as reducing the waste production that is sent to landfill. AYANA encourages all employees to present its commitment to environmental and social sustainability to all key stakeholders including guests, suppliers and contractors.
