Brand Manager, Hugh Houston, says the business saw an opportunity to widen the availability of already popular tours by making them accessible to Back-Roads guests 12 months of the year.
“As the popularity of small group travel continues to grow, we decided to expand the life cycle of some of our more popular Back-Roads destinations so our customers can enjoy authentic local experiences, bespoke culinary encounters and specialty Back-Roads accommodation all year round,” he said.
“Experiences like tasting locally produced wine and cheese in France and cooking your own Italian lunch in Tuscany are just as magical in summer as they are in winter, so we felt it would be an injustice for our customers to miss out on these experiences”.
The year round tours will stay true to the Back-Roads ethos of tailor-made touring, with quaint accommodation experiences, charismatic local dining and a local tour guide with in depth knowledge of the regions all a part of the experience.
Mr Houston says the Highlights of Britain and Ireland – The Emerald Isle tours are set to be favourites amongst travellers.
“The Highlights of Britain tour is a nine day journey through British history and culture offers an unparalleled journey through some of the country’s most iconic regions, including The Cotswolds, Snowdonia National Park, the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District,” Say Mr Houston.
“For those travellers looking for a holiday with charm, the 12 day Emerald Isle tour through Ireland will captivate tourists. Itinerary highlights include an escorted tour of Belfast’s political murals on a Famous Black Cab tour, and the dramatic splendour of the Inishowen Peninsula, Connermara, the Dingle Peninsula and the Wicklow Mountains”.
Other tours include Edinburgh to London, Heart of England, La Belle France, Tuscan Treats and From Berlin to Bohemia.
Back-Roads Touring offers small group tours through the UK and Europe with a maximum group size of 18.
