Back-Roads Touring welcomes new Global Head of Marketing

Back-Roads Touring have recently appointed Lilly McVea as the company’s new Global Head of Marketing for the duration of Clare Taylor’s maternity leave. beginning her career in 2005, McVea has made a significant mark on the tourism industry to date, working her way up the ranks from Travel Consultant with Jetset Travelworld Group to Marketing Manager at Flight Centre Travel Group, Digital Marketing Specialist with Tourism and Events Queensland and most recently, Digital Marketing Manager for Globus Family of Brands.

With vast experience in both marketing and tourism, McVea specialises in leading large-scale projects blending both traditional and digital marketing elements on a national and global level.

This new position will see McVea managing Back-Roads’ global markets spanning the UK, Europe, Canada, US and Asia-Pacific region.

McVea brings a wealth of knowledge to Back-Roads Touring and will head-up online and offline campaigns to generate brand awareness globally as well as drive sales of Back-Roads’ new Asia tour offering in addition to their existing Europe and UK tours.

“It’s a really exciting time to be joining the Back-Roads Touring team, particularly with the recent launch of our South-East Asia tours,” McVea said.

“I look forward to working collaboratively with the global Back-Roads team to take our marketing to the next level.”
