Spread the love

With Christmas, and New Year now done and dusted and the majority of adults back at work, it seems as though the holiday season is well and truly over for another year.http://www.stevecafeandcuisine.com/

For many people, the beginning of a new year and heading back to the office can often bring a case of the ‘back to work blues’.

Increasingly, we are hearing reports that the ‘back to work blues’ are a real thing and they do dent our enthusiasm, which can affect our wellbeing and happiness.

So, the experts are suggesting that planning and booking your next holiday is the best thing you can do!Booking a trip in advance not only allows plenty of time for planning, but also provides you with something to look forward to and can help increase motivation and get you out of that post-Christmas slump.

We say choose camping!

Why?

  • Caravan Industry Association of Australia’s Real Richness report highlights that a camping holiday can have real positive benefits to stress levels, with 95% of campers stating that camping reduces their stress levels.
  • Research has also revealed those who regularly undertake caravan and camping trips are nearly twice as happy and satisfied with life whilst being five times less lonely than non-campers.
  • The report also found 94% of campers believe that camping makes you appreciate nature more.
  • The latest data from Tourism Research Australia (Y/E September 2018) supports this and highlights that people taking a camping holiday are increasingly looking to interact with Australia’s world class nature. Going to the beach, bushwalking, visiting National and State parks and fishing, rank inside the top five most popular activities for Australians to undertake while camping.

For those working full time, it can often be difficult to make time to get away, with holidays and long weekends often being few and far between. However, with just a bit of planning there are a few times throughout the year where you can utilise your annual leave in order to take more time off than you thought possible!

The Easter long weekend is approaching in April and will this year fall from the 19th until the 22nd. With ANZAC Day on the 25th as usual, you can take just three days of holidays (the 23rd, 24th and 26th) and score 10 days off– more than enough time for a caravan or camping trip!! If you’re looking to take a longer trip you could also take leave from April 15th to 19th, resulting in a total of 16 days off (including weekends) for just seven days of leave!

So if you’re feeling the pressure in 2019 and are eager to make the most of holiday opportunities, what are you waiting for?!
