Backyard Travel, the online boutique tour operator specializing in insider tours throughout Asia, today announced an exciting new tour through China and Vietnam. Taking travelers on a thrilling journey from Beijing to Hanoi, this trip showcases iconic landmarks alongside stunning countryside, as seen from the windows of high-speed regional trains.

The tour, priced at US$ 2,998 per person on a twin share basis, is valid till 31 December 2018.

The 12-day, 11-night Epic Journey: China and Vietnam by Train tour begins with time in Beijing to explore China’s most famous sites – the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace – before heading to Luoyang for a historic visit to the UNESCO-listed Yungnang and Longmen Grottoes. Two nights in picturesque Guilin gives travelers time to soak in the beauty of the area’s limestone formations before it’s off to the spectacular Detian Falls on the border of Vietnam. An overnight cruise on Halong Bay is next on the itinerary, before the tours winds up with a city tour of Hanoi’s rich historic sites.

“Train travel is timeless – it will never go out of style, and with China’s high-speed train services, it’s an easy and enjoyable way to get off the well-worn tourist trail,” says General Manager of Backyard Travel, Maeve Nolan. “Crossing the overland border between China and Vietnam also eliminates the hassle of air travel, leaving more time and energy for enjoying the sights.”
