Sharing a Disney Cruise with your children or grandchildren is a magical family experience – especially when it’s combined with a visit to some of Walt Disney’s top American theme parks on the same holiday. The memories last a lifetime.

Worldwide Cruise Centres ( is offering a 12-day ‘Double Disney Delights’ fly-cruise-and-stay holiday from Australia that combines a four-night Bahamas cruise aboard the magical Disney Dream with a visit to four world-renowned Walt Disney theme parks.

‘Double Disney Delights’ costs from A$3999 per adult and A$3039 per child from Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne, including return airfares to the US. The cost is per person, based on a family of four sharing one cabin/hotel room as a quad throughout. Spacious staterooms aboard Disney Dream make the going easy. They are designed with families in mind. To qualify for the fares, children UHR 2 Article-Banners-250-x-250-pixelsmust be aged 2-11 years at time of air and cruise departure.

The holiday starts on 2 September 2014 with a flight to Orlando, Florida, a city devoted to catering for family holidays. Orlando will be your base for five nights, staying in a Kids Suite in the Lake Buena Vista area, close the Disney Downtown and the Walt Disney Theme Parks.

The holiday comes complete with a four-day Magic Your Way Base Ticket, which includes admission to one of the following theme parks for each day of the ticket:

  • Magic Kingdom Park (enchanting entertainment, classic attractions, lovable  Disney characters and spectacular parades and fireworks);
  • EPCOT (attractions and entertainment dedicated to technological innovation and the culture and cuisine of 11 countries);
  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios (shows, attractions and tours offering behind-the-scenes glimpses of Hollywood-style action);
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park (the world’s largest animal-themed park – full of attractions, adventure and fantastic animals).

After all that, you’re off on the high seas on a four-night Bahamian cruise aboard Disney Dream. Ports include the tropical paradise of Nassau, capital of the Bahamas, and Disney’s very own private island, Castaway Cay, where you can snorkel, boat, swim, sunbathe or just relax with a book. As you sail into Castaway Cay, look out for the Flying Dutchman, the antiquated-looking pirate ship used in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Kids love that sight!

Disney Dream is a floating holiday in its own right. The majestic third ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, Disney Dream is 14 decks high, 340 metres long and 38 metres wide. The ship’s classic early 20th-century design evokes the golden age of cruising – yet Disney Dream is ultra-modern (launched in 2011), full of state-of-the-art technology and designed for families. Disney Dream includes cruise-industry firsts – like the AquaDuck, the first water coaster at sea. “Splashtacular” is the word Disney uses to describe it.

Entertainment features aboard ship, for all ages, day and night, include:

  • Just for Kids: Oceans of activities and adventures for children aged three and older, in their very own kids clubs;
  • Just for Teens: Special programs and a “teens-only” hangout;
  • Just for Adults: Exclusive areas, nightclubs, spa, fitness centre and more.

Plus: breakfast, lunch, dinner, sodas and snacks every day; fireworks at sea (weather permitting); first-run films, including some in digital 3D; and original spectacular Disney musicals (Broadway style).

After 12 days, a taste of America, the delights of Disney and a wonderful cruise, its time to fly back home to Australia.
