Balinese Authorities impose new Harbor Tax at Padang Bay

July 7, 2017 Tour Operator No Comments Email Email

Local port authorities on Bali have announced that from 8 July 2017 onward, a new passenger harbor tax is levied for customers traveling to the Gili Islands, Lombok, Nuda Penida and Nusa Lembongan. The implementation of this new harbor, valid for all departures from Padang Bay Harbor, was regretfully announced by today by the harbor management.

Asian Trails Indonesia kindly yet urgently requests all business partners to inform that this tax will be levied on spot directly from the customers. We are doing all possible to inform customers on spot, with confirmed travel plans to one of these destinations, via our representatives and customer service agents.

The applicable harbor fees are

  • For passengers leaving for Gili and Lombok: IDR 60.000 per pax (approx. US$ 5)
  • For passengers leaving for Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan: IDR 50.000 (approx. US$4)

All mentioned fees are per person and can only be paid in cash prior to embarkation.

It is without saying that Asian Trails Indonesia and its transportation partners deeply regrets to have to inform you on such a short notice about this new tax regulation.

We remain at your disposal for any questions you may have and thank you for your understanding and collaboration. For inquiries, please contact our reservation team via or contact your customer service representative in Asian Trails Indonesia.
