“Be prepared to change your plans.” That’s the warning from the folks in Banff and Lake Louise for skiers and snowboarders on slopes across North America.

Banff Lake Louise Tourism is targeting skiers and snowboarders across Canada and the United States, ‘skijacking’ them and stealing them away to experience the ultimate ski and snowboard vacation in Canada’s protected playground.

“You might be planning on shredding powder at your local ski resort and we’ll haul you out of there and send you to where ‘Nature Rules’ in Banff and Lake Louise,” says Jeff Mitchell from Banff Lake Louise Tourism. “Everyone and anyone with a board or two strapped to their feet is fair game.”

Lucky targets will be flown to Calgary to begin a weekend odyssey of skiing and snowboarding courtesy of a free tri-area pass from the park’s three resorts, Mount Norquay, Sunshine Village and Lake Louise Ski Resort. Accommodations will be provided by The Fairmont Banff Springs, inclusive of access to the world-class Willow Stream Spa. Free access to local nightclubs and climbing on the town of Banff’s goliath 40-foot ice wall will also round out the all-inclusive getaway.

It’s suspected that the first targets will be identified in the coming weeks and brought to the mountain resort community to partake in the annual SnowDays festivities presently underway. Subsequent targets will be identified throughout the winter by their use of #skijack on social media and approached without warning to be whisked away to Banff National Park.

Skiers and boarders, you’ve been warned.
