Recently, Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited led by AM. Dechit Chareonwong, Vice President of Flight Operations (5th from left) together with Mr. Tongsook Chompoonuch, Vice President – Maintenance (5th from right) and airline’ pilots welcomed its brand-new ATR72-600 aircraft at Suvarnabhumi Airport. 

This 70 seats ATR model 72-600 is developed to have a modern flight control system that displays all digital systems. With a spacious, comfortable passenger seat and an overhead luggage compartment that is larger than ever. This new ATR72-600 aircraft will be will be used to boost its Chiang Mai hub such as Chiang Mai–Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai–Yangon (Myanmar), Chiang Mai–Mandalay (Myanmar), Chiang Mai–Hanoi (Vietnam) and also the newly-launched-route Chiang Mai–Luang Prabang (Laos).

Currently, Bangkok Airways’ fleet consists of 41 aircrafts; 4 ATR72-500s, 12 ATR72-600s, 16 A319s and 9 A320s.
