TravelManament logo 108x54TravelManagers’ 2016 national conference kicks off today in Bangkok with an extensive three-day agenda planned. TravelManagers’ Chairman Barry Mayo anticipates the company’s ninth national conference with its theme of ‘Adding Value,’ will be one of its most successful yet.

“The management team has again ensured the conference focus is on equipping personal travel managers with the skills, insights and practical ideas to truly add value to their clients’ holiday experiences.  Our personal travel managers collectively have an extensive wealth of knowledge and experience between them and the sharing of mutual successes and learning’s from a national partnership office and personal travel manager perspective, fits perfectly with our theme of adding value.”

This year’s conference will see a significant increase in personal travel manager participation in plenary sessions, with just over a quarter of the major presentations being delivered by personal travel managers themselves.

“The increase in personal travel manager presentations is a result of popular acclaim and recognition that the relationship between TravelManagers and the personal travel managers is built on mutual respect and is a true partnership. It is to everyone’s benefit that these partnerships are successful and it makes perfect sense that our personal travel managers have significant involvement in the conference content,” says Mayo.

Personal travel managers Lauren Compton representative for Condon in Townsville, Carolynne Cannon representative for Mindarie in Perth, Gayle Dawson representative for Springfield Lakes in Queensland and Victoria based David Hull representative for Mt Martha and Nicole Tobin representative for Tyabb will speak at the conference.

Mayo knows the personal travel manager presentations will provide real value for their colleagues.

“The personal travel managers will share with their peers their own personal and professional journeys providing ideas, inspiration, skills and strategies to add value. I have no doubt these presentations will provide invaluable wisdom and motivation to succeed. It really does highlight the genuine support and camaraderie that exists within the personal travel manager network.”

Mayo says the popular national partnership managed workshops will again form part of the conference agenda.

“Following feedback from personal travel managers, this year the workshops will focus on social media, increasing profitability, utilising technology to leverage success and making the most of the TravelManagers app.  We find these open forum workshops provide a great mix of education and inspiration and are extremely well received by the personal travel managers.”

Whilst the conference days will be jammed packed with interesting and relevant content, the personal travel managers will have time to discover the many activities Bangkok has to offer after dark.

The TravelManagers 2016 national conference will be held 19-21 August 2014 at the Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel in Bangkok.
