The 24-hour, all-inclusive Barceló Bávaro Grand Resort recently announced its Third Annual Barceló Bávaro Culinary Week will be taking place from Nov. 13-19, 2016 at the adults-only Barceló Bávaro Beach and the Barceló Bávaro Palace.
The event, aimed at positioning Dominican gastronomy as an attractive culinary experience for the international tourism market, will offer a variety of activities: breakfast, lunch and dinner with Dominican haute cuisine; tasting sessions with beer, rum and chocolate; cooking and cocktail demonstrations; and more.
A select group of chefs, pastry chefs, rum masters and bartenders will be participating in Culinary Week and have been challenged to surprise guests with the aromas and flavors of creole cuisine. Martín Omar González, Jaqueline Henriquez, Luigui Puello, Juancho Ortiz, Carolina Arias, Paulette Tejada, Solange Cid, Dará Castaños, Robert Ray, Elly Saúl Rosario, and others will be representing the very best in Dominican cuisine.
In addition to the Dominican chefs, Barceló Bávaro Culinary Week has invited renowned Peruvian chef Flavio Solorzano to represent Peru as the host country. Chef Solorzano will be preparing haute cuisine dishes to delight diners with Peruvian aromas and flavors. This will truly be a “foodies” dream come true.
