Home to a wine bar, music venue and restaurant, MyHouse lets house guests be natural, as if at home. The creative sanctuary located at Wan Chai’s QRE Plaza opens this October with clean European style shared plates, natural wines, music for the soul and coffee that taste like no other. It is a passion project conceived by creative natural living enthusiastAlison Christ together with natural wines expert Karim Hadjadj.
“MyHouse is your house,” says Alison, Founder and General Manager. “This is every Hong Kongers’ creative space to host and gather. Feel at home and always taken care of with items on the menu that allow everyone to be natural. It’s what you would want to put on the table at home.”
A place of discovery and escape, MyHouse evolves throughout the day. Swing by and be part of the family for brunch, lunch, a daytime coffee, an after work drink, a relaxed dinner or even a comfortable “night in”. It will also house bi-monthly art exhibits from local and international artists to encourage creative discussions.
Putting the weight back into vinyls, this home away from home allows for a chance to switch up the music during the day. Pick an old school vinyl from the shelf, slip it on the individual turntables at each seat, grab the headphones and enter a new world of solemnity with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and some nibbles. In the evenings, the house party starts with Resident DJs Arun Rand Romi Behl. With a focus on analog local and international DJs and live bands, the music will also have a natural thread with beats ranging from reggae to house music till late.
“Take care of yourself by watching what you drink and eat. You are what you eat afterall,” says Alison. “I believe that what you put into your body affects you as an individual. This is an invitation to eat and drink organically, and make new friends at the same time. Many people feel that natural wines are a gimmick, but it is only after you have tried it that you will realise the difference. Trust me, MyHouse wines are always reliable and you won’t turn back. You also won’t feel as bad after a crazy night.”

The dining area and bar serves a menu of clean European style shared plates crafted by Executive Chef Peter Birks, with a personal take on European classics. Geared towards harmonic wine pairing guided by certified sommelier Alison and Bar Manager James French, the homemade plates are prepared with organic produce ensuring the quality of each dish. At MyHouse, expect only free-range meats and sustainable seafood.
Discover natural wines as well as a few bottles from friends and family owned vineyards. Natural wines are made in small batches as there is minimal chemical and technological intervention in growing grapes and making them into wine. Each bottle at MyHouse has a story. The chilled, welcoming and comfortable ambience is designed by Mohamad Ghamlouch of design and research studio Minus Collective. Key materials used throughout the space are natural woods and textures as well as some recycled products such as wine bottles for lighting fixtures. Design highlights are the customised DJ booth and vinyl library, eight customer-use-turn-tables for listening to vinyl, large windows to soak in the views as well as art that adorns the walls.
MyHouse seats 100 persons including the dining area, bar and private dining room.
