If I ever felt like a celebrity, then entering the rather understated portals of Dubai’s Armani Hotel Dubai had that effect, my becoming a star instantaneously!
The Armani Hotel Dubai hotel is luxury at its best, described as being envisioned by style guru Giorgio Armani, with a private entrance and occupying 11 floors of Dubai’s iconic skyscraper, Burj Khalifa.
Sadly in a sense, we only went to Armani Hotel Dubai for lunch, which was at the superb Armani/Mediterraneo restaurant, and while we did not have the opportunity to stay or check out the rooms, the Armani/Mediterraneo, described as offering contemporary casual dining and open from breakfast to late in the evening was superb, offering an extremely creative gourmet buffet, with freshly grilled meats and fish, and an a la carte menu, all prepared by their brigade of superb international chefs – this is no ordinary buffet!
As if that was not enough for choices of places to eat, Armani Hotel Dubai offers a total of seven dining locations, including the Armani/Lounge, overlooking the Dubai Fountain as does Armani/Mediterraneo, the Armani/Ristorante which specialises in gourmet Italian cuisine, the Armani/Deli, an authentic deli in the heart of downtown Dubai described as offering Italian culinary flair and a changing menu of contemporary flavours, Armand/Hashi, providing what is described as an imaginative twist on contemporary Japanese cuisine and of course, Armani/Privé where Milan’s exclusive Armani/Privé lounge has been brought to Dubai, described as hosting the most popular club nights in town.
The Armani Hotel Dubai is also described as offering rooms of understated elegance featuring curvy lines, decorated with Japanese tatami and luxury fabrics, with flat-screen TVs with DVD, iPod docking stations and free WiFi.
Guests can also relax at the extensive Armani Spa, offering personal treatments and sequential bathing, or enjoy a round of haute couture shopping at Armani Galleria, retailing fashion, flowers and Italian pastries and the adjacent Downtown Dubai is a great choice for travellers interested in luxury brand shopping, food and shopping.
Armani Hotel Dubai also not only directly faces the stunning Dubai Fountain but provides access to Burj Khalifa’s Observation Deck, with Dubai International Airport a 20-minute drive away.
