Here, your home for the next 5 nights is the stunning Belmond Grand Hotel Europe, located on the Nevsky Prospekt and nestled amongst some of the city’s greatest architectural treasures – the perfect base from which to explore this stunning city dubbed ‘Venice of the North’.

The sheer grandeur and history of St. Petersburg will astound you. Enjoy private tours of some of the city’s most iconic historical and cultural attractions including the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, the Peter and Paul Fortress and the Peterhof Palace, Russia’s answer to Versailles. Other highlights include a visit to the Catherine Palace, one of Russia’s grandest royal estates in the nearby town of Pushkin, and of course, the world famous Hermitage State Museum with its jaw-dropping collection including masterpieces by Leonardo Da Vinci, Titian, Raphael and the French impressionists. Your experience is complete with a dinner at L’Europe, Russia’s oldest serving restaurant.

On 15 August, prepare for the next exciting phase of your adventure as you board the extraordinary Sapsan Bullet Train to Moscow’s Leningrad Train Station, completing the 700km journey in just 3.45 hours. Staying at the luxurious Ritz-Carlton located just moments from Red Square and the Kremlin, spend 5 nights discovering the Russian capital and delve deep into its fascinating history. Take time to explore the city’s many cultural and historical sites and attractions, including the famed St. Basil’s Cathedral, the Historical Museum, the Minin and Pozharsky Monument and Lenin’s Mausoleum.

Take a guided walking tour through the Kremlin’s grounds and cathedrals, marvel at the renowned Armoury Museum and its many masterpieces, from weaponry and armour to some of Faberge’s most famous eggs, or head to GUM Department Store for a retail fix. Stargazers, especially, will rejoice at a visit to the formerly top-secret Star City, training centre for Russian Cosmonauts since the 1960s, where Yuri Gagarin, Gherman Titov and Valentina Tereshkova all prepared for their historic flights into space.
