Belmond Hotel Rio Sagrado in Peru’s Sacred Valley of the Incas has launched an outdoor movie night, during which families can enjoy favourite films under the stars.The luxury retreat is set on the banks of the rushing Urubamba River among verdant fields and towering mountains, providing a unique and peaceful backdrop for this fun family activity.
During the evening, adults and children alike can stargaze with the hotel’s telescopes and snuggle by a campfire under alpaca blankets as the movie unfolds. Entertainment is accompanied by hand-made pizzas, popcorn, and refreshing non-alcoholic drinks, as well as a dessert bar featuring a range of sweet treats made with local ingredients, including pumpkin and gooseberry cheesecake, quinoa brulée, traditional alfajores biscuits and bonbons stuffed with sacha inchi praline.
Guests can enjoy a selection of family-friendly films in English with Spanish subtitles, including Forest Gump, and The Jungle Book. The outdoor movie night runs year-round and is held from 6:30pm one evening a week. The evening package price is $18 per person, and children under 10 go free.
